ISLAND OF 1 FLAME
2021, immersive site-specific installation, 2,2 x 2 x 0,8 m, candle,
deconstructed pallets and found objects: glass, wood, metal
Material was collected from around the wasteland and nailed together – coalesced into a structure at the field’s centre.
The flame was the point of convergence of the special local atmosphere.
Amidst Covid lockdown, it was a beacon in an apocalyptic chapel – celebrating turbulence.
